Scouting Creighton
The Bluejays split a pair of matches during their first road trip of the season. Creighton fell 3-0 at No. 1 Stanford before winning 3-0 at Cal.Â
Three different Bluejays scored during the victory over the Golden Bears (Noah Franke, Ricky Lopez-Espin, Luke Haakenson).
Joel Rydstrand currently leads the team with two assists, and led the squad with seven last year.Â
Michael Kluver has started all four matches in goal for the Bluejays and owns one shutout and one combined clean sheet. Kluver, a fifth-year senior, did not start a contest before this season.
Creighton returned eight starters, including 2017 MAC Hermann Trophy watch list forward Ricky Lopez-Espin, following a third consecutive appearance in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.Â

The Bulls lost a pair of matches this past weekend against a pair of ranked opponents. South Florida lost 3-2 in overtime to then-No. 17 Butler and 3-0 to then-No. 7 Indiana at the adidas/IU Credit Union Classic in Bloomington, Indiana.
Overall, the Bulls are 1-2 after picking up a season-opening win at home against Lipscomb (Aug. 28).
Bradley Farias leads the team with two goals, while Adrian Billhardt and Gonzalo Rodriguez each have two assists to pace South Florida.Â
The Bulls have outshot their oppenents 48-33 to open the season and averaged 16.0 shots per match.Â

Bolowich passed Bret Simon, who coached at Creighton from 1995-2000 and was inducted into the Creighton Athletics Hall of Fame on April 23, 2017.Â
Bolowich now trails only Bob Warming on Creighton's all-time wins list.Â

The Bluejays picked up a 3-0 victory against  Penn during last year's Socctoberfest, which included a two-goal match by Joel Rydstrand.

After drawing nearly 2,000 fans at the inagural Socctoberfest, Creighton has averaged 4,162 fans during the past four events, including two of the largest crowds in program history.Â
