Weather Cancels Softball Trip To Kansas

OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton softball team's trip to Lawrence has been canceled because of inclement weather.
The Bluejays and the Kansas Jayhawks were scheduled to play tonight (Wednesday, April 5) at 6 p.m. in Lawrence, Kan., but because of possible rain forecasted throughout the afternoon and into the evening, the contest has been canceled and will not be rescheduled.Â
Creighton and Kansas were originally scheduled to play on Tuesday night before rain forced the teams to reschedule the contest for Wednesday night.Â
The Bluejays (11-20, 2-4 BIG EAST) resume BIG EAST play this weekend against Villanova (17-12, 2-4 BIG EAST). Creighton will travel to Villanova, Pa. for a doubleheader on Saturday, April 8 before playing a single game on Sunday the 9th. First pitch for game one on Saturday is scheduled for 11 a.m. Central. Â
