
Men's Golf Places 17th at Tiger Invitational

Trey Petitt leads CU with a tie for 39th place
COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Junior Trey Petitt tied for 39th place to help the Creighton men's golf team to a 17th-place finish at the Tiger Invitational on Tuesday.
The meet feature 18 teams and 96 golfers on the par 72 Club at Old Hawthorne course, which measured 7,221 yards.
A Lincoln, Neb., native, Petitt followed up an opening-round 80 with rounds of 73 and 75. His second-round 73 matched his second-lowest round of the spring and helped him to his best finish since back-to-back 38th place showings during the fall.
Charlie Bolton continued his strong play this spring with a tie for 44th place with loops of 78 and 77 on Monday before firing a team-best 74 in the final round.
Kade Brown tied for 72nd place after a 236 total. He shot rounds of 77, 83 and 76.
Rounding out the CU contingent were Koy Potthoff (238, T-81st) and Andrew Holloway (245, 90th). Potthoff sandwiched rounds of 80 with a second-round 78, while Holloway followed up his opening-round 81 with back to back 82s.
Host Missouri won the meet by 18 shots with a seven-under par total of 857. Linus Lilliedahl won the meet by one shot over teammate Hayden Buckley and Austin Peay's Erik Hedberg.
The Bluejays close out the spring with the BIG EAST Championships in Okatie, S.C., from April 29 - May 2.
