Coffiel is hitting .290, and O'Gorman and Dellinger each hold .286 batting averages. O'Gorman leads all Creighton regulars with a .358 on-base percentage.Â

Allie Reinhart leads the Jays with 13 RBIs, while O'Gorman (12), Jordyn Sturgeon (11), and Dellinger (10) are also in double-figures.Â
In addition to her production at the plate, Dellinger holds a Creighton-low 2.69 ERA in 28.2 innings pitched over 10 appearances, including three starts. The freshman has two saves and one win.Â
Bryana Clark has logged a team-high 70.0 innings during 16 appearances in the circle, including 12 starts, with a 3.30 ERA, four complete games and 5-6 record.
The Bluejays were picked to finish fifth in the BIG EAST preseason coaches poll.
Scouting Georgetown (7-17)
The Hoyas open BIG EAST play following a 3-2 showing at the Lafayette Ford Lincoln of Fayetteville Showcase in Wilmington, N.C.Â
Mallory Belknap leads Georgetown offensively with a .422 batting average and 35 hits, while three different individuals pace the Hoyas with three home runs.Â
Belknap leads the BIG EAST in hits and batting average.Â
In the circle, Anna Brooks Pacha has logged a team-high 74.1 innings pitched and owns a 5.33 ERA with five wins.
Head coach Pat Conlan is in her 12th year as head coach at Georgetown.Â
The Hoyas were picked to finish eighth in the BIG EAST preseason poll.
Series History vs. Hoyas
Creighton holds a 4-3 lead in the all-time series against Georgetown after taking all three games in Omaha during 2016.
The Bluejays and Hoyas managed to play only one Sunday afternoon game in Washington, D.C. during the 2015 season because weather and poor field conditions canceled the scheduled Saturday afternoon doubleheader.Â
The Jays edged Georgetown 2-1 in the only game played between the two schools at the Hoyas' home facility.Â
League-Opener History
Creighton is 2-1 in BIG EAST openers, and has won nine of its last 10 conference opening-games, including wins in the final seven Missouri Valley Conference lid-lifters (2007-2013).
The Bluejays are 20-11 all-time in their first conference game of the season during stints in the HCAC (2-3), WAC (1-1), MVC (15-6) and BIG EAST (2-1).Â
Seniors Guide Jays To Home-Opening Win
Seniors Anna O'Gorman and Allie Reinhart combined to go 6-for-7 with three RBIs to guide Creighton to a 4-3 victory over Drake during the Bluejays' home-opener on March 22.Â
O'Gorman finished 4-for-4 (career-high for hits), drove in the first run of the game, and scored the winning-run.
Reinhart went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, including the game-winning RBI with a double to right-center field to drive in O'Gorman.Â
O'Gorman's Four-Hit Performance
Anna O'Gorman finished 4-for-4 with a double and two RBIs during Creighton's home-opener against Drake (March 22).
O'Gorman's four-hit performance set a new individual single-game high during her three-year Bluejay career.
She also became the first Bluejay to record four hits in a single-game since Allie Reinhart on March 23, 2016 against Providence.Â
Four hits is a Creighton individual single-game high during a game that lasted seven innings or less.Â
The Creighton single-game high for hits in any game is six, set by Kelly Brookhart during the longest softball game in NCAA history (31 innings) on May 11 (and 12), 1991.Â
Bluejay Pitchers Wiggle Out of Danger
Creighton pitchers Bryana Clark and Sam Dellinger combined to allow only three runs (one earned) against Drake on Wednesday (March 22), but the Bulldogs had many opportunities to score more.
Drake left 14 runners on base, including two during each of the first five innings, and left the bases loaded to end the game in the seventh.Â
Cantu Honored By BIG EAST
Ashley Cantu made the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on March 20 following a 7-for-18 performance with seven runs scored during five games at the Hawkeye Invitational (March 17-19). Â
Cantu also hit her first career home run to lead off Creighton's final game of the weekend against South Dakota (March 19), becoming the first Bluejay to open a game with a homer since Ellen Homan did on March 19, 2014 against Wichita State.Â

Creighton played three extra-inning contests during the Hawkeye Invitational.Â
Each of the three games extra-inning affairs used the International Tie-Breaker Rule because of time constraints.
The Bluejays went 1-2 during those games, including a 4-2 win over host Iowa on March 19 (8 innings).Â
The Jays have already played four extra-inning games this season after playing only three such contests last season.Â
