Men's Golf Finishes Eighth at Twin Oaks Intercollegiate

Charlie Bolton leads the team with a 13th-place finish
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Charlie Bolton tied for 13th to lead the Creighton men's golf team to an eighth-place finish at the Twin Oaks Intercollegiate in Springfield, Mo., on Tuesday.
The 11-team event featured 69 golfers and was held at Twin Oaks Country Club, which played to par 71 and measured 6,701 yards.
Bolton fired rounds of 73 and 72 on Monday before wrapping up the tournament with a 75 on Tuesday. His 13th-place finish was the best in the junior's career among events with more than 15 competitors.
Senior Kade Brown tied for 39th place to rank second on the Bluejays. He followed up rounds of 75 and 73 with a final round 79.
Junior Trey Petitt opened with a 79, then fired consecutive 75's to tie for 45th place. He was three shots better than senior Andrew Holloway, who tied for 52nd after loops of 78, 75 and 79.
Rounding out the Creighton contingent was sophomore Koy Potthoff. Potthoff had rounds of 81 and 80 on Monday before a team-best 73 on Tuesday that helped him finish in a tie for 56th place. The round of 73 matched his second-best score of the season.
Bradley won the event with an 859 total, including a 2-under 282 on Tuesday to bypass tournament host Missouri State for a two-stroke victory. The Braves were led by meet medalist Ethan Brue's 207 total, which featured rounds of 69, 68 and 70 for a six-under aggregate and a one-shot win over MSU's Adam Fisher.
CU returns to the course on April 3-4 with the Red Wolves Intercollegiate in Jonesboro, Ark.
