Brown Takes 10th As Men's Golf Finishes 7th At Twin Oaks Intercollegiate

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Creighton men's golf team placed seventh at the Twin Oaks Intercollegiate on Tuesday, March 22. The Bluejays finished with a 902 (303+300+299) during the two-day event at the Twin Oaks Country Club.

Central Arkansas earned the team championship and shot an 874 (291+295+288). Host Missouri State finished runner-up and stroked an 881 (292+290+299) and Valparaiso placed third after shooting an 892 (286+302+304) on the par-71 course that measured 6,701 yards.

Luis Obiols led Central Arkansas and claimed the individual crown with a 2-over par 215 (69+71+75). Missouri State's Joey Johnson (71+73+72=216) and Valparaiso's Peter Webb (71+72+73=216) each finished a stroke behind Obiols and tied for runner-up.

Junior Kade Brown led Creighton with a top-10 finish. Brown carded a 222 (76+72+72) and tied for 10^th place. It's his second straight top-10 finish, and third in his last four meets dating to the fall.

Senior Tommy Anderson tied for 22^nd after a two-day 226 (78+76+72) while junior Andrew Holloway ended the tournament at 228 (77+76+75) and tied for 28^th.
Freshman Josh McCollum and sophomore Charlie Bolton rounded out the scoring for the Bluejays. McCollum tied for 33^rd after a three-round 230 (75+74+81) and Bolton tied for 44^th with a 233 (75+78+80).

Creighton returns to the links April 4-5 for the Red Wolves Intercollegiate in Jonesboro, Ark.
