SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The Creighton women’s golf team finished fourth at the Jackrabbit Fall Invitational. The eight team event took place at the par-71 5865 yard Minnehaha Country Club.

The Jays finished with a team score of 964, just 31 strokes behind tournament champs North Dakota State. Northern Iowa (951) placed second and Augustana College (953) finished third.

North Dakota State’s Amy Anderson finished first with a 216. South Dakota States Morgan Fitts finished second with a 226. 

Leading the way for the Jays was Celeste Gassman. The senior finished in a three-way tie for third place, shooting a 231. Freshman Grace Yowell finished 23rd with a 247. One shot behind Yowell in a tie for 24th was sophomore Mary Cathryn Rau

Freshman Emily Allison (T-29, 253) and sophomore Rachel Thompson (T-34, 256) rounded out the top five. 

The Jays take a week off before competing again at the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial on Oct. 15-16 in Springfield, Mo.
