Brad Schmidt is beginning his first year as Assistant
Strength and Conditioning Coach at Creighton University. He will be directly
overseeing the design and implementation of all training aspects for Baseball,
Softball, Volleyball and Women’s Soccer. In addition, Brad will be assisting
the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach Dan Bailey with Men’s and Women’s
Basketball, as well as Men’s Soccer.
Prior to Brad’s appointment at Creighton, he spent 3 ½ years
at South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD. During his time at SDSU,
Brad oversaw all training aspects for Men’s & Women’s Cross Country, Men’s
& Women’s Track & Field, Women’s Basketball, Women’s Soccer and
Wrestling as the Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach. In addition to
his duties with Men’s & Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field as well
as Women’s Soccer, he directly oversaw all training aspects for Equestrian,
Softball and Men’s and Women’s Swim and Diving as a Graduate Assistant from
2008-2010.
Brad received his Master’s of Science in Health, Physical
Education and Recreation at SDSU in 2010 and his Bachelor’s of Science at Iowa
State University in 2008. Brad is a Certified Strength and Conditioning
Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association
(NSCA) and is a Certified Level I Sports Performance Coach through USA
Weightlifting.
