Des Moines, Iowa - J.T. Christian and Billy Paluch led the CU men's tennis squad at the Drake Invitational Friday evening, as the two won a pair of doubles matches Friday night to put themselves in the semifinals.

Christian and Paluch won their first match by an 8-5 count over Northern Colorado's Cailix Van Lier and Ryan Lane. They then followed that with an 8-2 in the quarterfinals over Drake's Sergey Dulin and Ryan Drake.

The Jays had three other teams in the invitational as all three lost their first match. The teams of Gabe Nagy and Kyle Obermeier, and Ryan Norman and Sean Mathison both fell 8-5, while Bryan Lube and Connor Macey fell 8-6.

The tournament will continue today at Drake's Roger Knapp Tennis Center.
