DES MOINES, Iowa -Sergio Castillo and Ethan Finlay of the Creighton men's soccer team have been named to the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference All-Tournament as announced by the league following the completion of the event on Sunday afternoon. Drake captured its first ever MVC Tournament crown with a 2-1 win over Evansville Sunday in the title match.
Finaly, a sophomore forward, scored CU's only goal in its semifinal match with the tournament champions on Friday night. The goal was his team-leading eighth of the year. Finlay has scored in all three MVC tournament matches he has played in during his two seasons at CU, including the game-winning score in the championship game last year. He repeats on the all-tourney team, as does Castillo, a junior midfielder, who was honored on the postseason team after his freshman campaign in 2007.
