Athletics Hall of Fame To Add Three On Wednesday

OMAHA, Neb. - Creighton University Athletic Hall of Fame will add three alumni on April 4 at the DoubleTree hotel in downtown Omaha. This year's inductees are Jessica Powers Davis, Michael Finley and Lance Hill.

Davis is a 2002 graduate and former All-American women's soccer player. While playing at Creighton she led her team in points and goals in both the 1997 and 1998 seasons, and led the team in assists and shots on goal in 1998. Davis is the only Creighton women's soccer player to be named as an All-American. This past year, Davis was named to the Missouri Valley Conference All-Centennial Team. Davis currently lives in Birmingham, Ala., with her husband, William, and their daughter, Ellen Maria.

Finley, a 1993 graduate, is a former baseball player who set school records for at-bats, RBI and home runs in the 1981 season. He is the all-time leader in career RBI, fourth in runs and third in home runs. Finley was a two-time All-Conference player. He currently lives in Kansas with his wife Susan and four sons Brian, Danny, Jack and Kevin.

Hill is a 1994 graduate and former Major League Soccer player. While playing at Creighton he tied the school record with four goals in a game, and played on winning teams for five seasons. Hill was a two-time All-Midwest Region first team and selected two times for First-Team all-MVC. After finishing at Creighton, Hill was drafted in the 11th round. In his rookie season he was named United Systems of Independent Soccer Leagues' Rookie of the Year. Hill currently lives in Carrollton, Texas with his wife, Jennifer, and their son, Landon.
