Rider's consistently exemplary performance led to his promotion to the role of Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing & Ticketing in November of 2013.
Rider served as the Director of Ticket Sales Operations at Creighton from May 2008 until his promotion into the Assistant AD role. Rider's tenue as the leader of the Bluejay Ticketing Department coincided with the Bluejays' rise in attendance to one of the national leaders in both men's basketball, men's soccer as well as women's volleyball. Specifically responsible for allocating seven million dollars in ticket and donation revenue, Rider worked closely with Bluejay donors.
Outside his day-to-day responsibilities, Rider was tabbed as the Assistant Tournament Director for the 2012 NCAA Men's Basketball 2nd and 3rd Round contests, hosted by Creighton.
Rider's professional career in the Creighton Athletic Department began as a student-worker in 2002 in the Marketing and Sales Department. His first tasks included developing marketing strategies for game day events.
Rider played for the Bluejay Baseball team in 2003 & 2004, graduating with BA in Organizational Communication in 2004. Shortly after earning his degree, Rider accepted the position of Assistant Ticket Manager/Assistant Business Manager for the Bluejays.
Starting his new role in August of 2004, Rider evaluated and computed athletic department employee expense reports and managed the ticket office internship program. His efforts led Rider to be nominated to the NCAA 2008 Men’s Basketball Regional Committee.
Rider and his wife, Sarah, live in Omaha and have two children (Blake and Quinn).
