Entering his second year as a Bluejay in 2012-13, Glen Sisk comes to Creighton with 12 years of experience in higher education settings. Sisk spent nine years in the athletic media relations office at University of the Pacific in Stockton, Calif. After leaving Pacific in 2009, Sisk spent two years at University of Nebraska-Lincoln as a Resident Director. Over the past year, Sisk split time as the Interim Sports Information Director at Concordia University in Seward, Neb. and as the color analyst for the Creighton Women's Basketball team during their run to the NCAA Tournament in 2012. At Creighton, Sisk will serve as the primary contact for Women's Soccer, Women's Basketball and Baseball.
During his time at Pacific (2000-09), Sisk worked through the ranks of the athletic media relations office from volunteer (2000-02) to Graduate Assistant (2003), to Media Relations Assistant (2004-05) and finally to Assistant Director (2005-09). Sisk served as the primary contact for Women's Volleyball and Baseball programs during his final four years as a Tiger.
In 2007, he was the Media Coordinator for the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament's First-and-Second Rounds at ARCO Arena in Sacramento, Calif. Sisk also has extensive experience at NCAA championship throughout his career, including the NCAA College World Series from 2009-12, the NCAA Men's Basketball Final Four in 2011 (Houston, Texas), the NCAA Women's Volleyball Final Four in both 2006 and 2008 in Omaha, Neb.
Sisk's career in the media began in 1996 as a freelance reporter for the Chicago Tribune. He spent the next four years working a local government and high school sports beat at the Tribune. In 2000, Sisk relocated to Stockton to begin a graduate program in communications.
Sisk earned his bachelor of arts from Lake Forest College in Philosophy and Politics in 1997. In 2009, he completed his masters of arts from Pacific, writing his thesis on supervisory leadership styles within NCAA athletics.
A native of Portland, Ore., Sisk and his wife, Beth, live in west Omaha.
