Tennis Rained Out in Florida
Release: 03/10/2011

ORLANDO, Fla. - After a week in the sun, the Creighton men's and women's tennis teams are coming home on a rainy day.  Both teams were scheduled to play Robert Morris today, but inclement weather forced the teams to cancel their matches.

Both teams finished the Spring break on a successful note yesterday, however, with both teams winning over St. Joseph's.  The men's team finished 3-1 on the week while the Creighton women were 3-0 for the second straight year.  In the last five trips to Florida, the women are 19-1 while the men's team is 16-3.

On this year's trip, women's tennis player Sarah Cadwallader moved into the top 10 all time charts for wins at Creighton, as she picked up her 100th and 101st wins yesterday afternoon.

Both teams will take a week off before getting back into action the week of March 20th.  The women's tennis team plays at home against UNO on March 21st.  That match will start at 1:00 pm.  The men's team travels to UMKC on Friday, March 25 before coming home for the first time in a month on March 26.  They will play MVC opponent Drake in a 1:00 pm match.  Check into www.gocreighton.com for all the latest information on Creighton tennis.
