SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Creighton women's golf team finished in 10th place at the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial on Tuesday. The 11-team competition was held at the par-72, 6,079 yard Rivercut Golf Course.

MVC rival and tournament host Missouri State finished first, shooting rounds of 302-306-301=909, and was followed by UMKC with rounds of 304-309-314=926.

As a team Creighton shot rounds of 332-330-332=994.

Celeste Gassman finished first for the Jays. The junior’s rounds of 76-76-73=225 left her in a three way tie for first with Missouri State’s Hermine Greyling and Indiana State’s McCall Christopher. This is the highest finish of Gassman’s career. Greyling won a sudden death playoff on the first hole to take individual honors.
