SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Creighton women’s golf team finished 13th at the MSU/Payne Stewart
Memorial. The 15 team event took place at the par-72 6082 yard Rivercut
Golf Course.
Creighton finished with a combined score of 990.
Arkansas-Little Rock finished first with a score of 895. Missouri State (897) and Oral Roberts (909) finished second and third respectively. ULAR’s Emelie Westrup finished first with a 218.
The Jays were led by Celeste Gassman. The senior finished tied for 27th with a 235. Sophomore Rachel Thompson finished second for the Jays. The sophomore tied for 56th shooting a 247. Freshman Grace Yowell tied 72nd with a 256.
Sophomore Katie Morel (T-74th, 258) and Sophomore Mary Cathryn Rau (86th, 265) also competed for the Jays.
The Jays return to action in two weeks Oct. 29-30 at the Braun Intercollegiate in Boonville, Ind.
