COLUMBIA, Mo. -- The Creighton men's golf team finished 16th at the Columbia Orthopedic Group Mizzou Intercollegiate on Tuesday in Columbia, Mo. The Jays recorded rounds of 334, 330 and 322 in the three-round, two-day event at the par-72, 7,221-yard Club at Old Hawthorne. Host Missouri was the team champion.
Creighton was paced by sophomore John Rasmussen, who tied for 51st place. He carded back-to-back rounds of 80 on Monday, then shot a 78 on Tuesday to finish with a 22-over-par 238.
The second best finisher for the Jays was junior Jack Dressen. He shot rounds of 81, 81 and 80 on his way to a tie for 61st. Creighton junior Jack Dressen shot a 250 total, while freshman Daniel McKernan recorded a 261 in his first collegiate action. They finished in a tie for 74th and alone in 84th, respectively. Junior Kevin Stanek was disqualified in the first two rounds of the event and shot an 80 in the final round to contribute to Creighton's third-round team score.
Creighton's next event is the Illini Classic on April 16 and 17 in Urbana, Ill.
