OMAHA, Neb. – Creighton softball senior Becca Changstrom collected her third BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week Award of the season the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Changstrom (13-8) turned in one of her best performances of the season last week going 2-1 at No. 20 Nebraska and against Villanova, finishing with a 0.90 ERA in 23.1 innings of work.
She was dominant against VU, shutting out the Wildcats for 17.1 scoreless innings -once as a starter and once in over 10 innings of relief - over a marathon Saturday doubleheader while striking out 26 batters on the day. Changstrom claimed two wins for her efforts and set a career high of 16 K's in game two of the series.
