PRIOR TO CREIGHTON:  2011-13 (Butler (Kan.) CC) – Earned All-Jayhawk Conference Second Team honors in first season with the Grizzlies … The Millspaugh battery of Alex behind the plate and twin sister Mac in the circle helped lead the Grizzlies to the NJCAA Softball Division I Championship Tournament in their first two campaigns under the direction of head coach Doug Chance … The Grizzlies finished fourth nationally at the NJCAA tourney in 2013 … Butler also captured two conference and a pair regional championships along the way … Started 52 games as a freshman behind the plate … Hit .289 with 41 hits including four home runs and nine doubles in 2012 … Also batted in 24 runs and was second on the team with 287 putouts … As a sophomore batted .279 while starting 26 games … Posted 24 hits and 12 RBI in second year.

HIGH SCHOOL: Four-time letterwinners at Wichita Northwest High School under the tutelage of head coach Merri Copeland … Helped lead Northwest to three regional championships and a pair of City League titles during career ... Also played basketball all four years at Northwest … Alex earned All-City Second Team honors as a senior catcher in 2011 a season after claiming All-City First Team recognition as a junior … Honor roll student and ranked among the top 10 percent of class each year … National Honor Society member and the participated in the Link Crew, a freshman aid program, over final two years.

PERSONAL: The daughter of David and Sharri Millspaugh … Twin sister Mac Millspaugh is a pitcher at Creighton this season … Also has two other sisters, Brittany and Erica … Plans to pursue a business degree.
