The second installment of Inside Bluejay Baseball is an interview with head coach Ed Servais discussing the reasons why the Jays coaching staff send players to various Summer Leagues across the country.
The process involves a selection of how many games the coaches want each player to have the opportunity to play in, the distance the league is away from home and the quality of the club that they are sending each player to. The coaches also contact the individual managers of each team to ensure they are sending their players to the right locations.
Once the season is in full swing, multiple members of the Jays coaching staff stay in contact with the players, managers and coaches and host families. They want to ensure each player is getting the most out of their experience.
Next week we'll chat with three players about their experiences in summer ball.
