Rain Washes Out Final Game in Creighton vs. Illinois State Series
Release: 04/29/2012

OMAHA, Neb. - The third game of the Creighton and Illinois State series has been canceled due to rain in the Omaha area.  The two teams each won a game yesterday, with Creighton (16-22, 3-11) pulling out the 15-inning game one 6-5 and ISU (23-16, 5-8) winning the night cap 7-2.  The game will not be made up.

Tickets from today's game can be used for any game the rest of the season, with the exception of the May 8 game against Nebraska.  Tickets can be exchanged at either the Creighton ticket office at DJ Sokol Arena or at the TD Ameritrade Park Omaha box office.

The Bill Steckis Baseball Clinic that was to be held following the conclusion of the game is still on as planned.  Start time will be 3:30 at the CU Sports Complex, with check-in starting at 3:00 pm, all at the CU Sports Complex.

Creighton will be back in action next weekend, when they travel to Peoria, Ill., for a three-game series with Bradley.
