 Shane Liska
Building upon his lone season with the Jays in 2012, Liska continues to make a lasting impact on the program by taking the reins as the Jays' volunteer assistant coach.  Liska appeared in 20 games on the mound for Creighon in 2012, including eight starts.  He closed the season with a 3-4 record, including an impressive 3.27 ERA in 55.0 innings.  Liska held opponents to just a .214 batting average, recording 54 strikeouts. Two of his three victories last season came at critical times as Liska notching wins in the MVC Tournament (11-5 vs. Illinois State) and the NCAA Tournament (8-2 vs. San Diego).  
Before coming to Creighton, Shane earned his undergraduate degree at Xavier (2008-11).  In his three seasons on the field with the Musketeers, Liska made a combined 33 appearances, tossing 40.0 innings.   His best season at Xavier came as a freshman, when Liska tossed 19.1 innings.  He finished the year with a spotless 3-0 overall record, including wins against Wright State, Eastern Kentucky and Indiana State.
