OMAHA, Neb. - The Creighton women's soccer team put up ten goals in the Blue/White Scrimmage on Saturday, Aug. 10. White outscored Blue, 9-1. The players went switched back and forth, playing for each squad throughout three 30-minute periods.
Freshman Paige Jarsombeck opened the scoring with an unassisted goal from 25 yards out in the 10th minute to give the White team a 1-0 lead. Jarsombeck and fellow freshman Lauren Sullivan highlighted the evening as Sullivan posted three goals, while Jarsombeck added an assist. Senior Lauren Cingoranelli chipped in two goals, while sophomore Alissa Kohmetscher finished with two assists.
Freshman keeper Danielle Rice was flawless in her 60 minutes of action, recording two saves.
The Jays continue their 2013 exhibition season on Wednesday, Aug. 14 as Creighton hosts Arkansas at 7 p.m. in Morrison Stadium.
