Richgels closed her second season at Creighton as the team leader in assists with six in 2013 ... Starting 17 matches for the Bluejays in 2013, Jill dished out two assists against Omaha and Providence and delivered single helpers in two other contests ... Richgels notched two assists against Omaha for the second time in her career on Sept. 20 to help secure a 3-2 win ... She also notched two assists in Creighton’s 3-2 win at Providence on Oct. 3.
Jill appeared in each of the Bluejays’ 19 contests, nabbing the start 18 times ... Richgels posted two goals and three assists during her freshman campaign to earn a spot on the MVC All-Freshman Team ... Richgels’ first collegiate points came via two assists in the Bluejays’ 4-1 win at Omaha on Sept. 7 ... She delivered goals in back-to-back games at Indiana State (Oct. 5) and against Drake (Oct. 11) ... Richgels fired off nine shots on the season, including five on-goal.
Richgels graduated from Simley HS in 2012 ... She earned a combined six varsity letters in soccer (four) and gymnastics (two) ... A two-time MVP for the Spartans, Richgels was a four-time all-conference first team selection ... Jill was a two-time All-State First Team selection and was named Minnesota’s Miss Soccer in 2011 ... Richgels finished her high school career with 71 goals and 36 assists.
Jill played club soccer for the Minnesota Thunder Academy (MTA) ... As part of the MTA, she helped lead her team to Minnesota State Cup Championships in 2007, 2008 and 2009.
