2012 (Freshman):
Maddie saw time in 17 of the Jays’ 19 contests as a freshman, earning the start in four contests ... She collected her first collegiate goal in Creighton’s 4-1 win at Omaha on Sept. 7 ... Nelson’s tally gave the Bluejays the lead for good in the 61st minute ... She notched four shots in 2012, including two
on-goal ... Maddie’s career-high for minutes (86) came against UMKC on Sept. 13 in the 1-1 tie.

High School:
Nelson graduated from Woodbury HS in 2012 ... A three-time
letterwinner, Nelson led the Lions to a combined 51-2-7 record as well as three conference championships and two section championships ... She was named all-conference and All-State in Minnesota.

Club Team:
Nelson played club soccer for the Minnesota Thunder Academy (MTA) with fellow Jays Jill Richgels and Maddie Trebesch ... As part of the MTA, she helped lead her team to the Minnesota State Cup Championships in 2007, 2008 and 2009.
