OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton men's basketball team is 13th in the Associated Press poll and the USA Today Coaches poll released today.
Creighton dropped four spots from a best-ever No. 9 slot a week ago after last week's 75-69 loss at Xavier. CU's No. 13 poll position ties for its eighth-best ranking ever, and marks the ninth different time this season the Bluejays have owned space in the Top 25.
Creighton's No. 13 rank in the coaches poll is three-spot drop from a week ago. It marks the 11th week this season the coaches have ranked Creghton in the top 25, and ninth consecutive.
In the national stats, Creighton still leads the nation in three-point percentage and ranks second in assists per game, assist/turnover ratio and three-pointers per game. the Bluejays are also third in three-pointers made, seventh in assists and eighth in field goal percentage.
Individually, Doug McDermott leads the nation in scoring while ranking second in field goals made and third in total points. Ethan Wragge ranks second in three-point percentage and eighth in three-pointers per game. Fellow senior Jahenns Manigat ranks third nationally in assist/turnover ratio.
