Eric Miller Invited To U-20 National Team Training Camp
OMAHA, Neb. — Creighton Men's Soccer defender Eric Miller has been called up by the U.S. U-20 National Team to participate in an upcoming training camp in Portland from April 9-16. It is his third call-up by the U.S. U-20 National Team in 2012.
Miller, 19, is one of 24 players called up by U.S. U-20 National Team head coach Tab Ramos for the week-long camp, which will include a match against the University of Portland on April 12 and a match vs. the University of Washington on April 15. Miller participated in camps with the U.S. U-20 National Team in January and February, and is one of only six players to have been called up for each of the team’s first three camps of the year.
A native of Woodbury, Minn., Miller had an impressive freshman season for Creighton in 2011. He helped anchor the Bluejays’ backline that allowed just five goals during the season and was named to both the Missouri Valley Conference All-Freshman Team as well as an all-freshman team by College Soccer News. Miller was a key part of Creighton’s run to the NCAA College Cup semifinals last season.
