OMAHA, Neb. -Josh Moran and Andrew Ribeiro were named to the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference All-Tournament Team Sunday, representing the Creighton men's soccer team. Host and fifth-seeded Bradley won the tournament on Sunday afternoon in Peoria, topping second-seeded Southern Illinois University Edwardsville 4-3 in a shootout after playing to a scoreless draw through two overtimes.
Creighton, which was eliminated by Bradley in the semifinals on Friday, will host an NCAA Tournament Selection Show gathering at the Old Mattress Factory (13th and Cass) on Monday afternoon. The 48-team field is scheduled to be announced at approximately 3:30 pm (CST) on ESPNU. Fans and media are invited to join members of the team and coaching staff at the gathering on Monday.
The Bluejays (12-5-1) had an RPI of 16 in the latest official RPI rankings announced by the NCAA last Tuesday. All three of Creighton's regular-season losses came to teams in the RPI top-10 (Akron 2, SMU 5, Indiana 8) and the Bluejays are 3-3-0 against the RPI top-50 this season.
