OMAHA, Neb. - The Creighton men’s soccer team recently volunteered with Habitat for Humanity in north Omaha.
The group of Bluejays performed several hours of community service. The players performed some demolition tasks and later cleaned up the site to help prepare the home for further work.
The volunteer efforts by the squad are not uncommon. During the 2013-14 school year men’s soccer players logged over 400 hours of community service.
Creighton assistant coach Johnny Torres spearheads the team’s community service projects and has been actively involved in outreach efforts since his time as player here in Omaha.
The Jays will return to campus in late summer to begin training for the 2014 season.
