McCrary Leads White Squad to 1-0 Scrimmage Victory

OMAHA, Neb. – Creighton men’s soccer senior Carlos McCrary scored the lone goal of the evening to lead his White squad to a 1-0 victory over the Blue team in the annual Blue-White Scrimmage held Thursday night at Morrison Stadium.

After a scoreless 40-minute first half, McCrary got the White team on the board in the 44th minute. McCrary connected on a header from about eight yards out on a left-side feed from junior Jose Ribas to provide the 1-0 lead.

Twenty-six Bluejays saw the pitch in the first exhibition match of the season, including all 10 newcomers.

No. 6 Creighton continues its exhibition season on Sunday, when it hosts No. 7 Notre Dame at Morrison Stadium at 1 p.m. CT. The Bluejays wrap up their preseason on Friday, Aug. 23 against Omaha at 7 p.m.
