OMAHA, Neb. - The Creighton men's soccer team opened its 2012 Spring Exhibition schedule with a 2-2 draw against Minnesota Stars FC on Sunday afternoon.  The Bluejays received second-half goals from Bruno Castro and Dorian O'Lochlayne to overcome a two-goal deficit and earn the draw against the defending champions of the North American Soccer League.

Creighton fell behind 2-0 in the first half, as Bluejay alumni Brian Kallman assisted a pair of goals for the professionals.

Castro converted a penalty kick, following a foul on Jose Gomez in the box, to cut the Stars lead in half and O'Lochlayne, a redshirt freshman, scored the equalizer on a goal assisted by Minnesota native Eric Miller.

The match was played at Omaha South High School, while the installation of Creighton's new playing surface at Morrison Stadium is completed.

The Bluejays are back in action when they play at Saint Louis on April 1 and return home to break in their new turf at Morrison Stadium on April 7 when they play host to Graceland at 1 pm.
