The win evened Creighton's record at 2-2-0 on the year, while Northern Colorado fell to 1-3-0.

An early goal from sophomore Alyssa Jara gave the Jays a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute.  The play was set up by fellow sophomore Alissa Kohmetscher dribbling past a defender from the right.  Kohmetscher’s centering pass bounced off a Northern Colorado leg and directly to Jara, who drove the goal into the upper right corner from 12 yards away at 8:58.
