OMAHA, Neb. - Creighton senior Billy Paluch earned the BIG EAST Men's Tennis Player of the Week honor on Tuesday, March 18.
Paluch led Creighton to a 4-1 record in Spring Break matches in Orlando, Fla., last week, with a combined 5-1 mark across singles and doubles competition. Playing at the top singles flight, Paluch went 3-0, all in straight sets, in match victories over St. Cloud State, Quinnipiac and Wesleyan. In one unfinished match, he was up a set and trailed 2-3 in the second. Paluch and teammate Jake Norman went 2-1 in doubles matches as well with wins against St. Cloud and Quinnipiac and a loss to Wesleyan.
Paluch and the Bluejays return to action on Wednesday, March 26 as Creighton hosts Portland State at 12 pm.
