What’s Next?
Following the three-games at the Riverview Inn Classic hosted by Austin Peay and the Jays open their 2013 home season with a five-game stretch at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha.  Creighton’s first home game will come against North Dakota on Thursday, March 14 at 6 p.m.  The Jays will host Pacific the ensuing three days, March 15-17 and face South Dakota State on Wednesday, March 20 at 4 p.m.

Jays vs. Arkansas-Little Rock
Creighton has a 7-3 series edge on Arkansas-Little Rock, including a three-game series sweep of the Trojans in 2007 (March 3-4).  Under head coach Ed Servais the Jays are 4-3 against UALR, splitting two in 2004 and dropping two in 2006.

Scouting UALR
The Trojans enter the Riverview Inn Classic at 9-4, but dropped a 4-3 decision to Southeast Missouri State on Wednesday, March 6.  UALR has played four games this season against MVC opponents, taking two of three from Evansville to open the year and falling in a single game with Wichita State on Feb. 28.
Senior Chance Cleveland is slated to pitch against the Jays on Friday night.  Cleveland is 2-1 this season with a 0.79 ERA.  He has 22 strikeouts in three appearances and has walked just three batters in 22.1 innings.

Offensively the Trojans have five starters hitting over .300 through 13 games, led by senior David Guarno (.400) and junior Austin Pfeiffer (.354).

Jays vs. Austin Peay
This will be the first meeting between Creighton and the tournament host, Austin Peay.

Scouting Austin Peay
The Governors enter the tournament at 10-2 this season.  Austin Peay’s only two losses have come to Big Ten foes (Iowa and Michigan State), while the Governors are 4-0 against Missouri Valley Conference opposition (3-0 vs. Illinois State, 1-0 vs. Indiana State).

Austin Peay has played 11 of its first 12 games at home and the Governors open the Riverview Inn Classic against Milwaukee on March 8 at 3:30 p.m.

Senior RHP Curtis Delgado is expected to pitch against Creighton on Saturday.  Delgado is 2-1 in three starts this season.  He has allowed 10 runs (eight earned) on 22 hits in 15.2 innings.

Offensively the Governors are averaging 6.5 runs per game.  Juniors Jordan Hankins and Craig Massoni lead Austin Peay’s attack.  The duo are hitting .400 and .390 respectively with a combined 34 hits, six doubles, three home runs and 27 RBI.

Jays vs. UW-Milwaukee
Creighton leads the all-time series with Milwaukee, 13-1.  The last meeting came on April 20, 2005, a 9-1 victory for the Bluejays.  Head coach Ed Servais is 3-0 against the Panthers, claiming a single game in 2004 and two in 2005.

Scouting UW-Milwaukee
The Panthers enter the weekend at 3-7, dropping six of their last seven.  Milwaukee was swept in three games at No. 20
Miami and fell in two of three against Evansville on March 3 & 4.

No probable starter has been announced for the game with the Jays.

The Panthers have struggled offensively over the past six games, scoring more than three runs just twice. Sophomores Derek Peake and Michael Porcaro are atop the stats for
Milwaukee.  Peake has 10 hits in 22 at-bats (.455), while Porcaro leads the Panthers with 15 hits.

Jays vs. Southeast Missouri State
Creighton took two of three from Southeast Missouri State in the only series between the two teams in 1999.  The Redhawks took the first game of the series, 3-2, but Creighton won the next two (3-2 & 11-1).

Scouting Southeast Missouri State
The Redhawks enter the weekend at 8-6, but travel to
Belmont University for a three game set this weekend.
