ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Creighton women's soccer senior Brittney Neumann was named the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday, Sept. 11.

This the fifth time that Neumann has earned the MVC Offensive Player of the Week honor, the last coming on Sept. 20, 2011.

The Omaha native scored two goals in the Jays' 4-1 win over Nebraska Omaha on Friday, Sept. 7.   Neumann’s first goal was blasted through the keeper to give Creighton a 1-0 lead, while she dashed on a breakaway from midfield for her second goal to make it a 3-1 contest. 

Neumann leads the Bluejays with three goals this season, giving her 27 in her career to move her into a tie for fourth all-time for the Jays.  Neumann also climbed the Creighton ranks for multiple matches, moving into a tie for second with seven.

Neumann leads the Jays this season in goals (3), points (7), shots (20) and shots on goal (10).
