Leytem’s effort and drive to compete helped the walk-on earn a
scholarship at the beginning of her sophomore year ... Tessa appeared in 17 games in 2013-14, scoring 11 points in 60 minutes ... Leytem tied a career-high with two assists in nine minutes during the Bluejays’ 65-55 win over Houston ... Tessa had one of her best games as a Bluejay with a career-high five points, including a three-pointer and two free throws in Creighton’s contest at #18 Oklahoma on Dec. 1 ... Tessa drained the only shot she attempted in the Bluejays’ 79-50 win over Xavier on Jan. 15 ... Leytem collected two steals and two points in just three minutes against Marquette in the Bluejays’ 83-64 win on Jan. 25.

Leytem appeared in 20 games off the bench during her freshman season ... She drilled two free throws and claimed two boards in the Jays’ 61-42 win over Southern Illinois on March 9 ... Tessa grabbed a career-high two steals in the Jays’ 98-71 win at Drake on Feb. 2 ... Leytem saw her most extensive time of the season, 12 minutes, in the Jays’ 69-50 win over Indiana State on Jan. 13 ... Tessa sank her only shot from deep for three points in the Jays’ 64-45 win over Illinois State on Jan. 11 ... Leytem was 1-for-1 for two points in Creighton’s 77-54 win at Houston on Dec. 8 ... Tessa nabbed two rebounds in five minutes against BYU on Nov. 28 ... Made her first appearance for Creighton in the Bluejays’ 69-48 loss to #12 Oklahoma on Nov. 10, hitting a three-pointer near the top of the key ... Tessa wore No. 2 as a freshman.
