8 Brandon Mikulka
(Sophomore at Creighton)
  • Mikulka saw time in 14 contests in 2014, including three starts.
  • Brandon picked up his first hit as a Bluejay with a single on Feb. 16 at Arkansas-Little Rock.
  • The highlight of Mikulka’s first two seasons came on April 5th as he blasted a game-tying RBI triple in the bottom of the ninth with two down as Creighton rallied for a 4-3 win over North Dakota.

  • Mikulka drew a walk at Southeast Missouri State on March 12.

  • Led his team to a Continental Conference championship his senior year, finishing 15-6 overall and 9-2 in conference play.
  • Was named first-team all-conference and second-team All-State following his senior year.
  • Made it to the state tournament, finishing fifth, after winning the Regional his junior season with an overall 18-7 record.
  • Holds the record at Ponderosa High School for career home runs.
