OMAHA. Neb. - Sophomore Alyssa Jara was named to the NSCAA/Continental Tire All-Northeast Region Third Team on Wednesday, Dec. 4. Jara was named All-BIG EAST Third Team following the 2013 season.
This is the first All-Region award for Creighton since joining the BIG EAST Conference in July of 2013. Creighton's last All-Region nod in women's soccer was earned by Brittney Neumann and Claire Zach in the All-Great Lakes Region in 2010.
Jara appeared in 17 of Creighton's 18 contests, starting 13 matches. She recorded two goals and an assist in 1117 minutes. In BIG EAST action, Jara appeared in eight matches. She started six BIG EAST contests, firing off 11 shots.
Creighton finished its first season as a member of the BIG EAST with a 9-8-1 overall mark and a 2-6-1 record in conference play.
