CREIGHTON CAREER: 2011 (Senior) –
Named NSCAA All-America Second-Team and College Soccer News All-America First-Team ... Tabbed MVC Defensive Player of the Year after anchoring the nation’s toughest defense in 2011 ... Started all 24 matches as Creighton’s left center back and played all but 95 minutes during the season ... He helped the Bluejays set an NCAA record and lead the nation with a 0.20 goals against average ... The CU defense also led the nation with 19 shutouts, just one shy of the NCAA record ... Duran, a first-team all-region and first-team all-conference defender, guided a defense which allowed only five goals during the Jays’ 21-2-1 season, while opponents managed less than three shots on goal per match ... An MVC Scholar-Athlete First-Teamer, he led the Bluejays to their first College Cup since 2002, where the Bluejays played to a scoreless draw in the NCAA Semifinals, before being eliminated in a penalty kick shootout by Charlotte.

2010 (Redshirt) –
Awarded a medical redshirt after suffering a season-ending knee injury in the fifth match of the season ... Started the first five matches of the season, before tearing a meniscus in his knee against No. 18 SMU on Sept. 17 ... Underwent surgery on the knee on Sept. 23 ... Played all but eight minutes of Creighton’s first four matches, as the Bluejays posted four shutouts with Duran as a central defender ... Scored his first career goal, which served as the only goal of the match at No. 21 UC Santa Barbara (Sept. 7) ... Creighton outscored opponents 10-0 with Duran on the pitch ... Played PDL soccer for the Chicago Fire Premier and Des Moines Menace in the summer of 2011.

2009 (Junior) – Started seven of the 14 matches in which he appeared ... Missed the season-opener and played just 20 minutes in his first two matches of the season before earning his first start and playing all 90 minutes at Washington (Sept. 25) ... Jays were 4-1-2 when he started ... Recorded his only point of the season on an assist against Eastern Illinois (Oct. 11) ... Five of his seven shots on the season came at EIU on Oct. 24.
2008 (Sophomore) – Started and played first seven matches of the season before suffering a season-ending torn ACL against Denver on Sept. 27 ... Underwent surgery to repair the ACL on Oct. 8 ... Recorded his first point as a Bluejay, assisting Jeff Thayer’s second goal against Gonzaga (Aug. 29) in the season opener ... Played all but five minutes in his first six starts, contributing to four shutouts.

2007 (Freshman) – Named among Top 100 Freshmen to Watch by College Soccer News before the season ... Appeared in nine matches  and earned five starts as a rookie ... Played first five matches of the year, then missed the next 10 matches due to mononucleosis, before playing in four of final five contests ... Started and played 88 minutes in his first collegiate match against San Diego State (Aug. 31) ... Started and played the entire match against Evansville (Nov. 10) after missing the 10 previous games ... Also started both matches in the MVC Tournament ... Played 24 minutes against SMU in the NCAA Tournament (Nov. 28), but missed the season finale against Illinois-Chicago (Dec. 1) ... Wore No. 8 as a freshman.

PREP CAREER:  Named the 2006 NSCAA National High School Player of the Year, National High School Coaches Association National High School Boys Soccer Senior Athlete of the Year and Illinois Player of the Year ... Two-time NSCAA High School All-American ... Twice earned all-state and all-conference honors and named team MVP as senior ... Scored 10 goals and had 10 assists in just 11 matches as a senior, as his season was cut short due to a broken foot ... Scored three goals and had 18 assists as a junior ... Played club soccer for the Chicago Magic ... Participated in multiple international events with the Region II Olympic Development Program Team.
