Rob Beuerlein joins Creighton University in the fall of 2008 serving as the Sports Information Intern.
A graduate of TCU in May 2008, he will oversee the media relations responsiblities for the Creighton women's soccer, men's and women's tennis, crew and baseball teams.
Prior to coming to Creighton, Beuerlein served as a student-assistant in TCU's athletic media relations office since January 2006. While at TCU, he was the media relations contact for the school's inaugural equestrian team. In that role, he was responsible for coordinating media for the team, maintaining the website, as well as publishing all game notes and recaps. In April 2008 the team won the Varsity Equestrian Western National Championship. On a national level, Beuerlein developed a computer national ranking system for NCAA Varsity Equestrian to implement effective September 2008 for both teams and individuals.
During his summers in Fort Worth, Beuerlein worked with local baseball teams in the area. In 2007 he was the baseball operations intern for the Frisco RoughRiders, the AA affiliate of the Texas Rangers. As part of the RoughRiders, he was in charge of writing the game notes for the local and national media on a daily basis, as well as helping out with game day operations.
In 2006 Beuerlein was the scoreboard and videoboard operator for the independently affiliated Fort Worth Cats.
Beuerlein received his bachelor's degree in sociology from TCU. As part of the sociology department, he received the Outstanding Sociology Internship award in 2008 for his time with the Frisco RoughRiders.
