DALLAS, Texas - The Creighton Crew team opened its 2013 season with victories in two of four races at Southern Methodist on Saturday, March 16.

The Bluejays earned victories in the Varsity4 race as well as the Novice/Varisty 8-3 race.  The Jays four woman team finished with a time of 8:14.6, more than 25 seconds better than SMU's 8:39.9.  Creighton's Novice eight-women team posted a time of 7:41.8, a full 30 seconds better than SMU's 8:14.5.

Creighton returns to Omaha from its Spring Break training trip in Texas tomorrow and will be back in action on April 7 as the Jays host the Upper Midwest Collegiate Sprints at Carter Lake.
