Carli closed her sophomore season with All-MVC First Team recognition … She was named MVC Tournament MVP after averaging 19.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.3 steals per game … Tritz set Creighton MVC Tournament record by making 20 and attempting 26 free throws during the tournament … She was the highest scoring sophomore in the MVC (14.4 ppg) and the first sophomore to lead the Jays in scoring since MVC Player of the Year Christy Neneman in 2001-02 ... She also led the team in assists (121), steals (64) and free throw percentage (.770) … She closed 2011-12 ranked second in the MVC in assists, fourth in assist-turnover ratio, sixth in scoring, sixth in steals, ninth in minutes per game, 12th in free throw percentage and 13th in field goal percentage … Carli’s best performance of the season came when the Bluejays needed her most as she threw down a career-high 29 points against Missouri State (March 10) in the MVC Tournament semifinals, including 27 in the second half to outscore the Lady Bears 27-24 … Tritz scored 17 straight points for Creighton in the second half against MSU to lead the Jays to a 56-47 win ... Named the MVC Freshman of the Year, MVC All-Freshman Team and All-MVC Honorable Mention after leading the team in assists (98), steals (67) and field-goal percentage (.478) ... Set an MVC record by earning MVC Newcomer of the Week honors nine times during the season (in 17 weeks) ... Led all MVC newcomers in scoring (11.4 ppg), field-goal percentage (.478) and assist-turnover ratio (1.0), while she led all league freshmen with 67 steals ... Ranked in the MVC top-10 in steals (4th) field-goal percentage (5th),  assists (6th) and assist-turnover ratio (6th) ... Tied for the team-lead with 21 double-figure scoring games, the most by a Bluejay freshman since Laura Spanheimer (21) in 2001-02 ... Fell just two assists shy of becoming the third freshman in school history with 100 assists in a season ...
