OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton Men's Basketball team made its first appearance in the top-25 of the national polls on Monday, moving up to No. 23 in both the Associated Press poll and the USA Today Coaches poll.
Creighton is off to a 3-0 start for the 13th time in 15 seasons after wins over Alcorn State (107-61), UMKC (96-70) and Saint Joseph's (83-79).
Including this week’s poll, Creighton has been ranked 29 times in 60 weeks of AP polls under Greg McDermott, and ranked between 26th-to-28th in seven other polls. The 29 weeks in the top-25 under McDermott is more than any coach in Bluejay history.
Creighton returns to action on Saturday when it hosts Tulsa in a game scheduled for a 2:32 p.m. tip-off.
