OMAHA, Neb. - Creighton Sports Information Director Rob Anderson announced the promotion of Shannon Pivovar from Sports Information Intern to Assistant Sports Information Director.  In addition, Glen Sisk, formerly of University of the Pacific, has also been named an Assistant Sports Information Director.

"I'm thrilled with the opportunity to promote Shannon and add Glen to our staff," said Anderson. "They have shown the ability to work well with our student-athletes, coaches and media, and have years of experience in the profession that will serve us well as they publicize the success of our teams both on and off the field."

Pivovar will serve as the primary contact for Men's Soccer, Baseball, Men's and Women's Tennis and Women's Crew. She spent the previous two years at Creighton as the Sports Information Intern, working with Women's Soccer, Baseball, Men's and Women's Tennis and Women's Crew as part of her intern experience.

Pivovar served as the Assistant Media Coordinator at the 2012 NCAA Men's Basketball Second and Third Rounds in the CenturyLink Center Omaha in March.  She has also spent time working with both sports marketing and compliance at Creighton, including helping the transition between two compliance personnel.

Sisk comes to Creighton with nine years of experience in Sports Information at University of the Pacific in Stockton, Calif.  Over the past year, Sisk split time as the Interim Sports Information Director at Concordia University in Seward, Neb. and as the color analyst for the Creighton Women's Basketball team during their run to the NCAA Tournament in 2011-12.  At Creighton, Sisk will serve as the primary contact for Women's Soccer, Women's Basketball and Softball.

In 2007, Sisk was the Media Coordinator for the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament's First-and-Second Rounds at ARCO Arena in Sacramento, Calif.  Sisk has extensive experience at NCAA championship throughout his career, including the NCAA College World Series from 2009-12, the NCAA Men's Basketball Final Four in 2011 (Houston, Texas), the NCAA Women's Volleyball Final Four in both 2006 and 2008 in Omaha, Neb.

Creighton's Sports Information Department (SID) staff has earned numerous awards in recent years, and was named "Missouri Valley Conference Staff of the Year" in 2007-08 and 2010-11.
