OMAHA, Neb. -- Award-winning Nebraska Educational Television has agreed to televise three Creighton men's basketball games during the upcoming 2010-11 season.
NET Sports will televise Creighton's home games on Jan. 19 against Bradley, Feb. 5 against Evansville and Feb. 16 against Illinois State. The games against Bradley and Illinois State are at 7:05 pm, while the Evansville contest is slated for a 2:05 pm tip.
The games will air statewide on NET-1 (Cox Cable channel 12 in Omaha) and in high definition on NET-HD (Cox Cable channel 712 in Omaha). In addition, the contests will be video webcast free of charge at www.netnebraska.org.
Incredibly, this will be the seventh consecutive season that NET Sports has televised Evansville's game at Creighton. Creighton is a perfect 12-0 in NET Sports telecasts originating from Qwest Center Omaha since the building opened in 2003.
With the addition of the three games on NET Sports, no less than 18 Creighton games will be televised this season. Besides the three games on NET, eight games will air on KMTV, three on Fox Sports Net, two on ESPNU, one on ESPN2 and one the Big Ten Network. Possibilities remain for other games to be added by Fox Sports Net and ESPN at a later date.
