O’Donnell appeared in 19 matches in her first season at Creighton ... Battling though plantar fasciitis during the final two months of 2012, she started 17 contests and earned All-MVC Honorable Mention ... Kelsey finished 2012 with two goals on 36 shots .... O’Donnell scored her first Bluejay goal in Creighton’s 3-1 loss to Arizona on Sept. 2 ... Her final goal of 2012 came in the Jays’ 1-1 tie with UMKC on Sept. 13 ... Kelsey topped 100 minutes in three matches, playing 110 at Drake on Oct. 28, 106 against UMKC and 101 versus Utah State on Aug. 24.
O’Donnell sat out the 2011 season to fulfill NCAA transfer requirements.
2010 (Sophomore at Sacramento State):
O’Donnell started in 11 of the 16 matches she played ... Netted three goals to tie for third on the team ... Dished off three assists, second for the Hornets in that category ... Two of her assists came on game-winning goals in the Big Sky Tournament to help the Hornets win the championship ... Her best game as a Hornet came on Oct. 8 as she notched a career-high three points on an assist and a goal in the 3-0 win over Montana.
2009 (Freshman at Sacramento State):
A standout freshman, Kelsey started all 18 matches, splitting time between the forward and defense positions ... Led the team with four goals to earn All-Big Sky Conference Honorable Mention ... Recorded two game-winning goals on the season ... Ranked second on the team in minutes played with 1,627.
O’Donnell graduated from Oak Ridge HS in 2009 ... She ran track and field for two years.
Kelsey played club soccer for the San Juan Spirits, where she was a teammate of current Jays, Kyla Booker and Alyssa Jara ... Led the Spirits in goals in 2007 (38) and 2008 (47).
The daughter of Brian and Sharon O’Donnell, Kelsey was born on July 20, 1991, in El Dorado Hills, Calif. ... She has two younger siblings; Sean (19) and Kristina (15) ... Kelsey is pursuing a nursing major.
