2014 Outdoors: Opened up with a double at the Central College Invite running a 4:04.12 1,500m and a 15:29 5,000m on the track. Focusing more on the 5,000m, Kenyon ran a 14:49 on Drake’s track at the Jim Duncan Invite and then proceeded to get the school record for the 5,000m with a 14:43.98 at the Kip Janvrin Invite at Simpson College.
2014 Indoors: Competed in the 3,000 meters at the Grinell Indoor Invitational, clocking a personal-best 8:47.62 to place 4th. Ran the mile in 4:20.85 at the Nebraska Tune-Up.
2013 Cross Country: After coming off of a strong summer, Kenyon led the Bluejays with a season opener of 19:30.76, placing 18th at the Augustana Corss Country Twilight 4 mile. In Minneapolis, MN, Kenyon ran 26:00.1 at the Roy Griak Invite. Two weeks later Kenyon clocked a personal best for the 8k with a 24:57.70 placing 2nd at the Briar Cliff Invitational in Sioux City, SD. Less than a week later at the Bradley Invite in Peoria, Kenyon ran a 25:14 placing 33rd. For the first time in the Big East Conference, Kenyon led the Jays to a 7th place team finish at the Big East Conference and a 31st place individual finish with a time of 26:08 on the Wayne E. Dannehl Cross Country Course in Somers, WI. After the conference meet, Regionals was held on Iowa States home course and Kenyon concluded his season with a personal best of 32:30.50 placing 100th for the 10k.
2013 Outdoors: For his first collegiate 5,000m, Kenyon clocked a 15:23.05 at the Mizzou Relays in Columbia, MO. At the Jim Duncan Invite in Des Moines, IA he ran a 15:44.5, while battling a lower leg injury. For the rest of the season he hung up his jersey… temporarily.
2013 Indoors: Kenyon started the indoor season and raced the 1000m at the Nebraska Tune Up in Lincoln, NE and posted a personal record of 2:37.89. Ten days later he ran the 3000m in 9:02.03 placing second at the Nebraska Wesleyan University Indoor Open.
2012 Cross Country: Ran a personal best of 25:42.21 in the 8k at the Charles Bowles XC Willamette Invitational in Salem, OR. Ran a 26:08 at the Bradley Invitational in Peoria, IL and then a 26:23 at the Missouri Valley Conference Meet in Normal, IL. Runner-up for MVC Athlete of the Week, twice.
High School: Three-time Cross Country State Qualifier. Won 2011 5A Regional Qualifier. In 2011, placed 6th at Colorado Cross Country State. Qualified for 3200m, 1600m, and 4x800m in the 2012 track season. Placed 6th in the 3200m with a 9:38 and 11th in the 1600m with a 4:27. Colorado Springs 2012 Rotary Champion for Men’s Cross Country.
Personal: Born in Truckee, CA but raised in Colorado Springs, CO, Kenyon was raised as the middle child by Dave and Sandy Kenyon and has two brothers, Steven and Ryan.
