OMAHA, Neb. -- The nationally-ranked Creighton Volleyball team will play its lone exhibition of the fall on Friday with its annual Blue-White scrimmage. The contest is open to the public and free to attend, with first serve scheduled for 6 pm at D.J. Sokol Arena inside the Wayne and Eileen Ryan Athletic Center.
Next to D.J. Sokol Arena at 7 pm, Creighton's No. 6-ranked men's soccer team will host crosstown foe Nebraska-Omaha at Morrison Stadium. Cost for that match ranges from $6-20, with Creighton students admitted free with a valid ID.
Friday also marks the first "Getting Blue BBQ" of the fall for Creighton Athletics, a tradition of community and food in an effort to create a “Blue Out” for home games. The first “Getting Blue” event for the fall is scheduled for Friday from 4:30-7:00 p.m. Students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, friends and fans are all invited to attend. The event will be held on the lawn just southwest of Morrison Stadium’s main entrance (rain location is the Brandeis dining hall). Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for kids (ages 10 and under).
Friday's volleyball match will not have live stats, video nor audio, but the men's soccer exhibition will have free live stats and premium video.
