In order to accommodate a new team into the tournament, organizers cancelled some games, added new ones and shuffled some game times for Sunday. Manhattan College (0-0) will now be Creighton’s first opponent of the Games at 9 a.m. CT.
Inclement weather on the East Coast has wreaked havoc on the Jaspers’ travel schedule the first few weeks of this season. As a result, the match-up with the Jays will be Manhattan’s season opener.
Creighton (4-9) will still play UMass-Lowell (1-6) on day one of the Games, but the contest has now been moved back to 11 a.m. CT. The River Hawks dropped a trio of contests at the tournament on Friday.
Before the schedule changes, the Jays were originally to open the Rebel Spring Games against UMass-Lowell early Sunday before battling Bucknell later in the afternoon in the first of two games against the Bison. That initial game has been replaced by the Manhattan contest.
Creighton will play 12 games in a span of seven days. Creighton will play South Dakota twice, and one game apiece against Manhattan, UMass-Lowell, Bucknell, Indiana State, Utah Valley, Saint Peter’s, Siena, Howard, Army and Albany.
