Women's Tennis Sweeps Kansas Wesleyan, 7-0

OMAHA, Neb. - The Creighton women's tennis team posted a 7-0 win over Kansas Wesleyan on Friday, March 7.  Creighton's victory ended a three-match losing streak and the Bluejays are now 3-6.  Kansas Wesleyan, meanwhile, fell to 0-2.

Creighton earned the doubles point with back-to-back 8-0 wins from the teams of Analese Syder and Sam Anderson at the top spot and Jennie Hartjes and Simone Hussissian at No. 2 doubles.

As a team the Bluejays dropped just three games in singles play, with freshman Katherine Nelson, Anderson and junior Liz Vermillion posting 6-0, 6-0 victories.

Creighton returns to action on Monday, March 10 as the Bluejays begin spring break by playing the first of four neutral site matches in Orlando agaisnt St. Cloud State.
